John Mills

Golden Star 2002

John Mills was born in 1912. By day, John was an investment stockbroker, but more than that, he was a legendary and accomplished Tap dancer, Swing and Balboa dancer, and Hall of Fame Golden Inductee. He was one heck of a nice guy and was always encouraging to beginner dancers.  You could always count on John attending the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame Gala’s and dancing and celebrating with his peers and fellow swing dancers. During the 90’s “Swing Revival” Period, John and wife Anne were sought out for their legendary 40’s swing and Balboa era style and historical impact. John spent the swing revival period going to workshops and doing interviews, jam circles, and occasionally busting out a booty grind on unsuspecting follows. John was husband to California Swing Dance Hall of Fame Golden Inductee and legend Anne Mills. John had some cool slides and loved to give his followers a bit of a shake down which always brought a smile. John passed in February, 26 2011. R.I.P. John, your big smile will be sorely missed.
