Boogie By the Bay

Originally named “The Next Generation Swing Dance Club’s Annual Convention”, Boogie By the Bay has pioneered or been instrumental in many areas which are considered standard in swing dance conventions today. First held in April 1994, Boogie has been a stalwart of the West Coast Swing convention scene for over 30 years. “Boogie” as it is fondly referred to today, is considered one of the standard bearers of how a convention should be organized and run. It is known for its integrity, professionalism and high standards in the areas of number of attendees, prizes, number of contests – including couples routines, judging, and providing a consistent and inclusive event.
